  • The doses of Vit. B1, C, nicotinamide are within the recommended dietary allowance (rda) in pregnancy.
  • The dose of ferrous sulfate, folic acid and Vit. B2 is above the rda in pregnancy.
  • No well controlled human data but high doses of folic acid may cause increased pregnancy complications as: Prematurity , bleeding, fetal distress and death.
  • Breast Feeding

  • Excreted into milk.
  • All vitamins are within the rda in lactation except Vit. B2, folic acid and ferrous sulfate but they can be used safely.
  • Needed in women with poor nutritional supply.
