  • Composition: Vit. C, B12, E, folic acid, intrinsic factor, iron, dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate.

  • The doses of Vit. C, B12, E and folic acid are above the recommended dietary allowance (rda) in pregnancy.
  • No adequate human data but suggested possible association between high doses of vitamin c and anencephaly and infantile scurvy of folic acid and increased pregnancy complications as bleeding, prematurity, fetal distress and death.
  • No data for intrinisic factor use during pregnancy.
  • No fetal malformations reported from the use of dioctyl sodium in pregnancy but chronic doses may cause maternal and neonatal hypomagnesemia.
  • No fetal harm has been reported with high doses of vitamin E and B12.

  • The doses of Vit. C, E and B12 are above the rda in lactation but can be used safely as supplementation in patients with poor nutritional status.
