  • Composition: Vit. A, D3, E, B1, B2, B6, B12, niacinamide, calcium pantothenate, C, iron, calcium, phosphorus, copper magnesium, zinc, manganese.

  • The dose of Vit. D3, B1, B2, B12 and niacinamide is above the recommended dietary allowance (rda) in pregnancy.
  • Vit. C, E, B6, calcium pantothenate, zinc and calcium are within the rda.
  • No data bout phosphorus and manganese, no rda for copper.
  • High doses of Vit. D3 may cause supravalvular aortic stenosis syndrome and idiopathic hyperclacemia of infancy.
  • Controversial association between high doses of Vit. B1 and anencephaly.
  • Calcium and magnesium should not be used in 1st trimester because of potential teratogenicity.
  • Safe in the last two trimesters if chronic high doses are avoided.
