  • Fetal potassinm levels are dependent on maternal potassium levels Fetal brady cardia may occur in association with maternal hypokalemia.
  • No well - controlled human data in 1st trimester exposure but reported single case of congenital defects in infant exposed to potassium salts (limb reduction defect and hypospadias).
  • No - well controlled human data for Furosemide but suggested possible association with hypospadias in 1st trimester exposure, No fetal adverse effects if used in the last two trimester but it can induce diuresis in the newborns.
